Skidaway Island State Park Interpretive Center

Having been apart of the staff at Skidaway Island State Park in Savannah, Georgia for the past two years I was given the unique opportunity to help reimagine the park's interpretive center. The space itself allows for both historical insights about the park and its prehistoric inhabitant: The Giant Land Sloth as well as showcases the native turtles, snakes, and fish that thrive in this park's briny ecosystem.

My role in this project was to design, build, and decorate the specialized cases for our live animals as well as work hand-in-hand with a private exhibit installation company out of Virginia to reassemble our Giant Land Sloth and create the containment area and infographics. Additionally, the photo boards above were of photos taken by local wildlife photographers then installed by myself and fellow co-workers.
